Who we are

Ibis Tech (ABN 34 842 763 187) is a sole trader business run by Caleb in Mandurah, Western Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Ibis Tech.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, call or email us, we collect what you give us: usually your name, email address, phone number, whether you're a home or business customer, and your message. If you suggest a time for a visit, we also collect the date, your suburb and, if you give it, your street address. We only use your address to get to the job, and it's never included in text messages.

When we do a job for you, we also keep what we need to do the work and invoice you, such as your address for a call-out and details about your devices.

While working on your computer or phone, we may see your files, emails or accounts. We only look at what we need to fix the problem, and we don't keep copies of your files or passwords once the job is done.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you and arrange the work.
• To do the job and follow up afterwards.
• To send invoices and keep the business records the law requires.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch.

Who else handles it

We use a few trusted services to run the business:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and passes contact form messages on to us. If the form shows a security check, that's Cloudflare making sure you're a real person.
• Fastmail handles our email, so messages you send us are stored there.
• ClickSend sends our text messages, so if you ask us to text you, your mobile number and the text pass through ClickSend.
• Our accounting software stores invoices.

We only share your information with anyone else if you agree to it or the law requires it.

Reviews

If you leave a review, we keep your name, suburb, star rating, review and email address. Once Caleb has checked your review, your name, suburb, rating and review appear on the website. Your email address never does: we only use it if we need to check something with you about your review. Ask us any time and we'll take your review down.

Website visitor stats

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. This website doesn't set any cookies of its own.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we're working with you, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records. Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted when they're no longer needed.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (unless we have to keep it by law). Email [email protected] or call 0427 416 686.
